Hi there! Two posts on the same day, feels like a holiday! I must say, the new class on Online Card Classes is such a treat, I feel like it’s Halloween already! 😂😂 I’m finally catching up on Day 1 at Crushing on Cardstock, and sharing my card for the final technique – paper weaving. Caly Person shared a great tutorial for this technique, and I wanted to give it a try. I chose a color pallet – white, rose gold, teal and navy, and followed Caly’s tutorial to create a fun weaving pattern with my paper strips. Because I liked the pattern so much, I decided to leave it as is and only add a sentiment: The die is from the Tim Holtz Sizzix Celebration Words: Script die set. I stacked three die cuts and added Glossy Accents on top, to match the shiny background: And here’s another angle: I’m so glad I tried this technique! It was my first time ever doing paper weaving, and it was really fun 🙂 Now, I’m off to watch Day 2! 🤩🤩 If you want to see my other cards for Crushing on Cardstock, click here And, if you want to see updates about new posts, please follow me on Instagram and Pinterest.

Hello! I’m still catching up on Day 1 at OCC Crushing on Cardstock class. Today, I tried the tearing technique that Cathy Zielske showed 🙂 I don’t have many large shapes dies, but I found a large heart die from the Simon Says Stamp Butterfly Kisses die set. This die was similar to the one that Cathy used, so I knew it would work great with the technique. Here’s my card: As you can see, the tearing adds an interesting texture to the edges, and also creates some texture on the heart itself. I kept my card super simple – I just added a few tiny heart from the same set, and a cute sentiment from the SSS Reverse Birthday Sentiment Strips. I think the sentiment “Birthday Love” matches the heart very nicely, don’t you? 🙂 Bonus Card! The card you saw was actually my second attempt with the tearing technique. My first attempt was with four colors, and I didn’t like the proportions, so I gave it to my 4-year-old son, and he created a card of his own: He added tons of sequins and some shimmer, so his card matches the Kids Vacation Challenge at Simon Says Stamp perfectly! 🙂 The theme is “Anything Goes with Sparkle and/or Shine”, so much fun! And that’s all for today, if you want to see my other cards for Crushing on Cardstock, click here 🙂 Thanks for stopping by! If you want to see updates about new posts, please follow me on Instagram and Pinterest. Have a wonderful weekend! ❤️ – Michal

Hello! Summer vacation is full on here, so I didn’t have much time for crafting lately. But, the newest class at Online Card Classes has started – and of course, I’m in! 🙂 As you may recall, last year I participated in two wonderful card classes at OCC. If you’re interested in seeing the cards I created during these classes, click here. The new class is called Crushed on Cardstock, and the idea is to learn new ways and techniques for using plain old cardstock on our cards. That’s exactly what I needed for my creative mojo to get going! 🤩🤩 On Day 1, Kristina Werner showed a way to create fun colorful patterns, with stripes of cardstock. I decided to use a classic color combination of black, white and gold, to create a fun herringbone pattern for the background of my card. The pattern was so bold and graphic, that I decided to simply add a sentiment, and my card was ready! The gold cardstock is Tim Holtz metallic kraft-stock, and I love the shine of it! I really enjoyed this technique, I want to try is soon with other colors too 🙂 And now, I have to go and try the other techniques from Day 1. It’s already Day 3, so I’m far behind!! 😅 Thanks for stopping by! If you want to see updates about new posts, please follow me on Instagram and Pinterest. Have a wonderful day! ❤️ – Michal

Hello! Summer vacation is full on here, so I didn’t have much time for crafting lately. But, the newest class at Online Card Classes has started – and of course, I’m in!

As you may recall, last year I participated in two wonderful card classes at OCC. If you’re interested in seeing the cards I created during these classes, click here.

The new class is called Crushed on Cardstock, and the idea is to learn new ways and techniques for using plain old cardstock on our cards. That’s exactly what I needed for my creative mojo to get going!
