Hello! Sharing today a simple card, with a blended Distress Ink background and white heat embossing. I also share a useful tip for making these backgrounds.
Here is the card:
I used these colors of Distress Ink for the background: Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Fired Brick and Seedless Preserves. I’ve found this gorgeous combination here, thanks Bianca! I highly recommend following her on Instagram, she really does magic with inks and markers, and shares many beautiful color blends.
To finish the card, I used white embossing powder for the flower (from Tim Holtz’ Wildflower stamp set) and sentiment (from this stamp set by Your Next Stamp). A useful tip that I have learnt while making this card is that it’s better to first do the heat embossing and then apply the ink, and not the other way around.
I’m submitting this card to the current challenge at Simonsaysstamp.com Monday Challenge – “All Things Bright and Beautiful”. Join the challenge here – it’s so much fun!
This is my first entry for the challenge – the second one is right here.
Enjoy the weekend!
