Hello! This week’s challenge at CAS(E) this Sketch got my creative mood going, so I made four Distress Oxides background cards.

Here is this week’s sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch – isn’t it awesome? So versatile!
Distress Oxide Inks Blending
If you’re not familiar with Distress Oxide Inks, I recommend watching this short video tutorial by Tim Holtz.
In my opinion, when it comes to blending, Distress Oxide inks are the best! 😍 They blend beautifully and very smoothly.
For my blended backgrounds, I used Prima Watercolor paper, blending brushes and Ranger Ink Blending Tool with blending foams. First, I chose the colors for blending (Kristina Werner has some great suggestions on her blog), and applied them to the paper with blending brushes:
After putting the first layer of ink, I applied more ink with my blending tool.
Check out the beautiful blend you get with those inks!
I did the same process with different color schemes, and then turned them into cards.
Here are the finished cards. Each one has its own title, for easy linking 🙂
