Hello! I’m back with two recessed panel cards for this week’s challenge at CAS(E) this Sketch!
This week’s sketch is really fun. Here it is:
After some thinking how to play with the sketch, I turned it upside down, and made two cards using the recessed panel technique:
The patterned papers are from a sweet paper pad called “Tea Time”. The flowers on the panels are very pretty, don’t you think? 🙂
I don’t know who manufactured this paper pad, as I got it as a gift from Reuta after my last order.
On both cards, the sentiment is from “Butterflies” stamp set by Avery Elle – one of my all time favorites! I used Distress Oxide inks for stamping.
(For some more ideas how to use this sentiment stamp, head here or here 🙂 )
For the card bases, I used papers from the Spring Assortment Cardstock by Gina K. Designs.
Below are my cards. I’m submitting both of them to the challenge, so I add a title for each one, for easy linking:
Pink Flowers Card
Although pink is not my favorite color, this card is my favorite! 🤩
I think it’s because of the vibrant colors and the way the direction of the flowers matches the diagonal lines of the panels:
Light Green Card
Though not my favorite one, I think this card is still very cute 🙂
I’m very happy by the way these cards turned out! It’s my first time using this technique, and I’m quite sure it won’t be the last 😉
Well, that’s all for today! If you want to see my previous entries for CAS(E) this Sketch, head here. It’s definitely one of the coolest online card challenges! Here’s again the link to this week’s challenge, if you want to play too!
