Hello! I hope you’re well and safe, and that you find some time for crafting, even with everything that’s going on…
Since the outbreak of Coronavirus has started, I wasn’t in the mood for crafting at all for crafting… But decided yesterday to “force” myself, took out my craft supplies, and guess what? I had a great time, and it cheered me up! ๐ Crafting really is a food for the soul โค๏ธ
Almost as usual, my initial inspiration came from CAS(E) this Sketch #364.
This week’s sketch is Sketch #1 revisited!
The funny thing is, I actually recognized this sketch from a card I made a long time ago! It was a bonus card for my take on sketch #325:
Isn’t it funny that now this sketch is back?
After my initial surprise, I decided to make two different cards for the challenge.
Around the Globe Thank You Card
My first card features Concord & 9th’ Geometrics stamp set, along with a cute little globe from Tim Holtz’ Tiny Things stamp set:
I really like the arrow that comes in the set. It adds a sense of movement to the circles, that matches the rotation of the globe.
The globe reminds me of our travels to other countries. I hope we will be able to travel again soon ๐
Dare to Dream Elephants Card
For my second card, I used the adorable elephant from the Tiny Things stamp set.
I stamped the elephants in a row, to create a parade. I wanted to create something happy and optimistic, so one of the elephants is in pink instead of grey.
The message – “Dare to dream” – is from Tim Holtz’ Simple Sayings stamp set:
I really like this one, it makes me smile each time I look at it.
And in these crazy times, smile is a big thing, right? ๐ I hope it made you smile as well!
Card Challenges
I’m submitting both my cards to CAS(E) this Sketch #364,
and my elephants card will be submitted to two fun animal challenges – challenge 36 at Crafty Animals, and challenge 36 at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies.
Please visit the challenge blogs! Fun and inspiration guaranteed!
