Hello! I’m back with my cards for day 6 at Online Card Classes Spring Card Camp. This time, it’s all about rainbow watercolor backgrounds!
For those of you who haven’t heard about Online Card Classes and the cool Spring Card Camp, I wrote about it a couple of days ago in this post.
In day 6 of the class, Kristina Werner showed a great way to make beautiful cards with watercolor backgrounds. I chose to make mine with rainbow colors:
I just LOVE these cards, they’re by far my most successful attempt with watercolors (that’s not “freestyle” ) 🤩
Here are some close-ups:
As you can see, I made three different watercolor backgrounds, and then cut and pieced them together to make three rainbow patterns.
Because the backgrounds are so pretty and colorful, I kept the rest of the card simple. I adhered them onto a black card base, and added a black sentiment:
I’m submitting my cards to April Challenge at Stamping Sensations – “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”.
This piecing technique is so cool, I’m going to try it with patterned papers too – so stay tuned 🙂
I still have TONS of homework 😅 Can’t wait to try everything from the class!

These are beautiful rainbow coloured cards and it’s lovely to see you at Stamping Sensations challenge, but we are a stamping challenge and that must be the focal element of your work.
