Hello! I’m back today with my cards for day 13 at OCC Spring Card Camp. In day 13, Cathy Zielske showed a great creative way to use word dies. By the way, today I’m also participating in Color Throwdown #590 AND Simonsaysstamp Wednesday Challenge!
As you might recall, the lesson for day 7 was about ways to use negative and positive parts of word dies. Well, day 13 is about the same subject, but with another creative use! I just love how I learn something new every day in this class 🙂
Again, just like in day 9, I used the “Hooray” die by Concord & 9th.
The use for the negative part involves a blended background behind it. So, I matched it with challenge #590 at the Color Throwdown challenge! This week’s color scheme, as always, is wonderful:
Here is my card:
I used Frayed Burlap, Squeezed Lemonade, Lucky Clover and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Inks. I heat embossed clear glitter embossing powder over the background, for more “glamour” 🤩
To finish my card, I added a few sequins in matching colors:
It’s hard to capture the glitter in photos, but it has a beautiful shine in real life 🙂
My second card is very simple – I used a floral pattern paper and simply adhered the word die cut on top of it.
The background matches this week’s theme at Simonsaysstamp Wednesday Challenge – Flower Power:
Hope you liked my cards! Which one is your favorite? Tell me in the comments below! 🙂
