Hello!
OCC Spring Card Camp is finished! It’s been SO much fun, with tons of inspiration… but all good things must come to an end, right? Good thing they’ve already announced OCC Spring Card Camp 2!!
On day 20 (final day of the class), Ashlea Cornell showed many different cards, and I decided to try one of her techniques. She stamped floral images in different colors, to create quick one-layer backgrounds.
I created two cards, using the Water Blooms stamp set by Mama Elephant. I used this set many time in the past, and the pretty flowers stamps seemed great for this technique, so I used them again!
Here are my cards:
For my first card, I chose to use this week’s color scheme at the Color Throwdown challenge.
I have to admit, these are not my go-to colors at all, but that’s the point with challenging yourself, right?
So, here is my card:
For my second card, I used the same purple and peach inks as on the first card, but I also used light blue, turquoise and a different shade of pink. I love the bright colors on this one!
These cards were really easy and fun to make 🙂 I really like the look of stamped floral backgrounds.
And obviously, this technique can work with all kinds of stamps, so I hope you’ll give it a try!
Card Challenges
As I mentioned, I’m submitting my card to Color Throwdown #591.
I’m also submitting both of my cards to Simonsaysstamp Wednesday Challenge – Anything Goes. Mama Elephant products are in the spotlight this week, so it’s a great fit 🙂
