Hello! This is the second post I’m posting today (here’s the first one), so it’s going to be rather short. I’m only sharing my card for CAS(E) this Sketch #370. Unlike most of my cards, that are usually cheerful and colorful, this is a monochrome sympathy card, in black and white.
When I made my cards for day 9 of OCC Spring Card Camp, I used the Bold Floral stencil by Hero Arts to create two very different backgrounds. One was colorful, and I shared it on day 9’s post, but on the other one I only used Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink. I wasn’t really sure what to do with it at the time, but I kept it in my “ready-to-use” pile 🙂
It was still there when I saw this week’s sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch, and thought the black and white background would match it beautifully!
The sketch is so cool. I love the straight lines and abstract look of it:
And here is my card:
The sentiment is from Simonsaysstamp Follow The Rainbows stamp set. I heat embossed it with Ranger silver super fine embossing powder.
I’m not usually making sympathy cards, but this one just came to me, as they say… so I made it 🙂
