Hello! Online Card Classes Spring Card Camp 2 is on!! Yay! 🤩🤩 And just like I did on the first part, I’m jumping from lesson to lesson without much attention to their original order 😆 So, I’m starting off from day 2, and sharing my colorful stripes background cards.

Jennifer Mcguire showed a super easy way to create colorful stripes for your cards, using a masking tape (like Purple Tape) and inks. I created two different backgrounds, with different color palettes:

For my first card, I used red, pink and purple distress oxide inks to create the stripes. Then, I stamped a large floral image with Jet Black Archival Ink:

Here’s a close-up photo of the stripes. I really like how they turned out!

For my second card, I used Iced Spruce (the perfect light grey!) and different shades of blue distress oxide inks.

This time, the stripes go horizontally and not diagonally like on the first card:

The balloon stamp is from Concord & 9th Happy Balloons stamp set.

I used an old Jet Black Archival Ink pad to create the “vintage” look of the balloon. I then colored it with my Distress markers:

I had a few crises with this card, but I like how it ended up 🙂
