Hello everyone! Do you remember, back in spring, that I participated in Online Card Classes Spring Card Camp?… Well, in part 2 of the class I fell behind and didn’t finish most of my “homework” 😅
But, as they say, better late than never, right? So, I’m finally catching up and here’s my card for day 6. In day 6, Laurie Willison shared a technique of using color blocks to create cool backgrounds and focal points on cards.
I thought it would work great with this week’s challenge at CAS(E) this Sketch!
I also wanted to participate in this week’s challenge at Color Throwdown, because the color scheme was so pretty:

I used many Simonsaysstamp products in this card: Fog Gray cardstock, Waves stamp (which I also used in this post!), the large “sending smiles” stamp from Just Miss You stamp set, and the coordinating die.
I stamped the sentiment with the new (and amazing!) Crackling Campfire distress oxide ink. It’s a beautiful rich orange-red color, I just love it 😍 For the finishing touch, I used Glossy Accents on top:
