Hello! Today I’m sharing my card for CAS(E) this Sketch #392 and Simonsaysstamp Wednesday challenge. I used Perfect Pearls to create a shiny background with many flowers 🙂
Here is this week’s sketch:
For my background strip, I used the watercolor smooshing technique, with the remains of Distress Inks left on my craft mat from this card:
I sprayed the remaining inks with water, and then pressed my paper on the puddles. I really like the soft look you can get with this technique. (By the way, if you want to see some more examples for this technique, click here.)
Then, I trimmed the paper to a strip, and stamped it with Versamark Ink and Flirty Florals background stamp by Taylored Expressions. Finally, I added Perfect Bronze powder on top. Look how shiny the Perfect Pearls flowers are!
To finish my card, I added the strip on to a wider strip of metallic kraft-stock by Tim Holtz. This orange-bronze paper is from the Confections stack, and I love it! You can do so many creative things with it, and even use alcohol inks over it.
For the sentiment, I used a stamp from Tim Holtz Simple Sayings stamp set.
And here is my finished card:
I hope you liked my Perfect Pearls flowers card. If you did, please leave me a comment below – I love reading your comments! 🙂
