Hi! I’m back today with a set of balloons card and a matching envelope, that I made for two fun card challenges. I used balloons for my set, but you can use any stamps and motives you like to create your own pairs of cards and envelopes! 🙂
Here is this week’s sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch:
I decided to look at it upside down, so instead of hanging ornaments, I created floating balloons!
All the stamps are from Birthday Bits stamp set by Simonsaysstamp. This is an old stamp set that I have for a long time, and used many times in the past. Because it has so many great birthday-themed images, it’s one of my go-to sets when I make birthday cards.
I stamped the balloons with Gina K. Designs inks, and the black lines and sentiment with Onyx Black Versafine ink.
In order to add some dimension and “volume” for the balloons, I used Glossy Accents on top of them. In this photo you can see how shiny they look:
I also wanted to make a matching envelope, to comply with this week’s challenge at Simonsaysstamp Wednesday Challenge. The theme is “Make a Card + Envelope” 🙂 I don’t make matching envelopes usually, so I decided to try this time:
As you can see, I used the same balloons and inks on the envelope, to match my card. To keep the envelope flat, I didn’t use any glossy accents on it… 🙂
And that’s all for today! I hope you liked my balloons card and envelope! If you did, please leave me a comment below – I love reading your comments!
