Hi! In today’s post, I’m sharing my card for Color Throwdown #616. I created a fun pattern of “raining hearts” on the card. It’s something I wanted to try for a long time, and finally had the chance!
Here is this week’s color scheme:
The warm colors of the blankets inspired me to create a cozy atmosphere on my card.
So, I took a small heart stamp from an old mini stamp set by Gina K. Designs, and stamped it about 50 times 😂
I tried to space the hearts as I went lower on the paper, to create a “rainy” look. I actually have a stamp that does exactly that, but I couldn’t find it when I was creating 🤦♀️ So I just stamped repeatedly instead…
To match the color scheme, I added a sentiment in light grey ink, and then adhered the panel onto a kraft card base. This specific paper is Neenah Desert Storm – my new favorite kraft tone 🙂
Here’s a close-up photo of the focal point:
This card isn’t my usual style, but I kinda like it 🙂 Did you like it? tell me in the comments below!
