Hello! Today I’m sharing two different cards that are based on one sketch. I’m also participating in two fun card challenges! 🙂

As you may already know, I’m applying to the design team of CAS Colors & Sketches challenge. This week’s sketch challenge is the second part of the “application form”, so I decided to make two cards instead of just one 🙂

Sending Hearts & Smiles Card

For my first card, I used the large heart stamp from Just Miss You stamp set by Simonsaysstamp, and the matching sentiment die:

To finish my card, I added two tiny hearts and then applied Glossy Accents on top of them and on the sentiment:

I used the same technique in this post. I think it really helps to make the sentiment pop on the card.

Father’s Day Card

After I made the first card, I wanted to make another one, because the sketch is so fun.

This time, I wanted to use the beautiful hat stamp from Tim Holtz Ladies and Gentlemen stamp set. I used it before to make my hat spinner card, and wanted to use it again.

I stamped the hats in light grey ink, and the combination of the hats and the color gave me a “masculine” feeling. So, I decided to make it a Father’s Day card:

It felt strange making a Father’s Day card, because in two weeks time it will be the 15-years-anniversary of my father’s parting 🙁 I still miss him terribly, and speak to him often in my mind.

But, although this card made me sad, it also made me happy because it got me thinking about my dad, and that’s always a blessing ❤️ I actually think now that in a way, this anniversary is our own Father’s Day, and I know he’s happy and smiling down at us from Heaven. So, maybe it’s actually appropriate?…

OK, enough emotion for today 😅

Apart from CC&S, I’m also submitting my cards to this week’s Simonsaysstamp Wednesday Challenge – “Anything Goes”.
