Hello! This is probably my last post for 2020, so I have something very cool to share 🙂 . Today, I’m sharing six cards that I made for a special Hanukkah challenge, with eight (yes, 8!) different sketches!
First of all, I have to give thanks and applause to the oh-so-talented Yael Youtzis, who created all the sketches and gave us this fun challenge to play during the holiday ❤️ Thanks Yael!! You’re the best!
The challenge lasted eight days, with a new sketch every day. I joined the challenge on the third day, so I created “only” six cards in the remaining six days of the challenge. Here’s my lot:
Below you’ll find each sketch and a close-up of the matching card, along with some info about the stamps that I used. So let’s get to it!
Day 3

The “color block” stamp is from an old stamp set by Concord & 9th. I used a larger stamp from that set about a year ago, in this post.

Day 5

Card (probably my favorite!):
The squares are from the Background Blocks stamp set by Concord & 9th, and the large HELLO comes from the Shiplap Sentiments stamp set.
Day 6

Here’s a close-up on the sentiment. I heat embossed it with fine gold embossing powder:
Day 7

On this card I used a similar technique to the one I used in this post. I love this technique so much, and this sketch was the perfect excuse to use it again 🙂
I used Distress Oxide inks for the stripes:
Day 8 (Last but Not Least!)
Sketch:
Card (another favorite):
I used the wood panel stamp from the Perfect Pallets stamp set by Gina K. Designs. I decided to use it as a brush stroke and create a hanging panel on my card front. Then, I used the rope tie stamp to “hold” my panel.
Some Final Thoughts
As you probably already know, I LOVE sketch challenges. I think it’s my favorite kind, so this amazing challenge was just perfect for me 🙂 I still can’t believe that I created six cards in six days!!
If you want to see Yael’s creations too, head here. The post is in Hebrew, but her cards are beautiful in every language 😍
Well, I guess that’s all for today, AND for 2020! I wish you all a wonderful and creative new year, full of joy and happiness.
