Hi! About three months ago, I shared six cards that I created for a special Hanukkah sketch challenge. Well, a couple of weeks ago, we revisited the challenge during Passover 🙂 So here goes take 2 of my “six cards in six days” series!
Just like last time, Yael Youtzis designed the sketches. But this time, she honored me with being part of the design team! 🤩🤩 Thank you Yael!! You’re awesome.
Below you’ll find each sketch followed by the matching card:
Sketch 1
Card:
The colorful strip is a blend of Picked Raspberry, Kitsch Flamingo and Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide Inks.
Sketch 2
Card:
The background here is a smooshed alcohol pearls background. I have a bunch of backgrounds that I created with this technique, and will share them soon 🙂
Sketch 3
Card:
I used the polka dots heart stamp from the Happy Hearts stamp set by Gina K. Designs, and stamped it in rainbow colors. I really like the gray polka dots paper, I think it matches the hearts perfectly 🙂
Sketch 4
Card:
Boy, I struggled with this sketch! So I went quite far off it… Also, it was my first time ever (!) using vellum! The embossing isn’t perfect, especially near the “L”, but I still really like this card.
Sketch 5
Card:
On this card, the colorful strip is yupo paper with alcohol pearls. The shine of the pearls is amazing!
Last but Not Least – Sketch 6
Card:
In this card I again drifted quite far off the original sketch. The two distinct parts reminded me of sand and water on a beach, so I went back to use the Ocean Minded stamp set by Gina K. Designs. The foam stamp is just brilliant and so unique, it’s amazing. (I used it in the past in this post, if you want to see some other examples how to use it.)
The challenge was so much fun, with many crafters joining and sharing their cards. I can’t wait for the next challenge!
Thanks for stopping by today 🙂 I’d really appreciate it if you could leave me a comment! ❤️
