Hi! I’m back today with two cards that I made using the Brilliant Butterflies stamp set by My Favorite Things. I made two cards in the same time, and it was so much fun!
After watching, for some time, all the beautiful creations that crafters were making with this stamp set, I just knew I had to get one too…
It took me quite some time, because it was sold out, but I finally got it! Swoon!! 🤩
First, I made my own pattern paper. I decided to use bright and cheerful colors, because the butterflies make me smile:
Then, I cut the paper in two, and created two cards. I tried to keep them simple, in order to leave the background the “main attraction” 🙂
For my first card, I used a sticker from the Small Talk Stickers pad by Tim Holtz. I thought the saying “use your wings” was the perfect match for the butterflies:
Then, for my second card, I used a stamp and the large love die from the A Little Love stencil bundle by Gina K. Designs:
I LOVE this die 😍 I actually have another post in the making where I used it again!
Below you can better see the center of the card:
Vellum is my new addiction, and I’ve been using it a lot lately. I haven’t been a fan of vellum before, but now I just keep using it! I especially like to use it behind word dies, like I did here, and also in this post.
The way the two cards match each other reminded me of a different pair of cards that I made about a year ago. Funny enough, those cards also had butterflies all over them! 😄
Here’s the new pair:
And here’s the older one:
