Hi! I’m back today with a card that I made with the double stenciling with vellum technique. This technique is so easy and fun to do!
One of my favorite activities lately is watching Gina K. Stamp & Chat live videos. Sometimes I can’t join the lives when they happen, and watch them afterwards, but they’re always fun and relaxing. And, of course, I learn a lot from them 🙂
About a month ago, Gina showed a really cool technique of double stenciling and using vellum to create a background. I really loved the subtle – but interesting – effect you can create with this technique.
Here is my card. You can really see the muted effect of the vellum on the pattern:
The stencils I used on the background are from the A Little Love stencil bundle by Gina K. Designs. I really like the stencil set that’s part of the bundle, and used it recently in this post.
On the inner side of the vellum, I used the Snowfall stencil by Gina K. Designs with light gray ink. I think it adds more interest to the background:
I’m submitting my card to the May 2021 Monthly Mix challenge at Gina K. Designs blog. The theme is “Create a Floral Background with Your Stencils”.
I’m also submitting it to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge – Feminine. I think the florals and the soft colors match this theme nicely 🙂
And that’s all for today! I hope you’ll give this double stenciling with vellum technique a try – it’s super easy! 🙂
If you liked this card, please leave me a comment! Thank you!
And, if you want to see updates about new posts, please follow me on Instagram or Pinterest.
Have a wonderful day! ❤️

I love your background, using the vellum makes the colors look so soft. Thanks for playing along with GKD May Challenge.
Thank you! 😊
