Hi! I’m back today with a birthday card that features the Chunky Happy dies. I’ve had this die set for so long, and finally got to using it!
First of all, here’s my card:
Now, let’s talk a bit about the process of making it.
I was totally inspired by this week’s color combination at the Color Throwdown challenge. It’s just SO good!!
As you know, I’m all into ink blending lately (well, not just lately ), and I thought these colors would look great on a blended background. So I created this background:
The distress oxide inks that I used are Cracked Pistachio, Salvaged Patina and Speckled Egg. (The Speckled egg is a pretty bluish gray color, although in the photo it looks mostly gray.)
Then, I die cut the shadow word using the Chunky Happy die set from Simon Says Stamp. This set also has the inner word die, and I used it three times to cut the delicate white word frame:
To finish the card, I stamped the long birthday stamp from All the Birthdays stamp set from Concord & 9th. I think the length of the word “birthday” matches the big chunky happy very nicely on this card
Finally, I added three Nuvo Drops in matching colors, and my card was ready! Here it is again:

Enjoy your weekend
