Hi! Today I’m sharing two flowers cards that I made for this week’s color challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches 🙂

Here’s the color scheme:

The pretty combination of green, pink and yellow-orange took me immediately to flowers. I wanted to play with different stamp sets, so I made two different cards.

Sunflower Card

For my first card, I used the large sunflower stamp from Tim Holtz’ Flower Garden stamp set. This stamp is an old favorite of mine, and I used it a year ago in this post.

This time, I went for a different look:

I used Gina K. Designs ink cubes and a water brush to color the flower, and added Wink of Stella shimmer on top:

The sentiment is from the Watercolor Flowers stamp set by Gina K. Designs. This stamp set has such cute flowers stamps, and I wanted to use them on my second card…

Watercolor Flowers Card

On my second card, I used the same inks that I used on the first one, but this time, instead of coloring with them, I simply used them for stamping:

The sentiment is from another Gina K. Designs stamp set, called Wonderful World.

Here, too, I used my Wink of Stella pen on the flowers. In the centers, I doodled with black pen to make the centers more “realistic”:

To finish my card, I added a frame with a black pen and a ruler. Super easy, and I think it adds a lot to the finished card 🙂

I really like how the same color combination inspired me to create two different flowers cards:
