Hi there! It’s time for a new challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches. This week we have a color challenge, and I’m sharing my card as July’s guest designer. I’m calling this card “Lotus Inspired Card”, and you’ll soon find out why! 🙂
Here’s this week’s color scheme:
The colors reminded me of yellow summer flowers, so I wanted to make a floral card.
I used the layering stencils from the A Little Love bundle by Gina K. Designs. (For more cards with this set, click here!)
To match the challenge colors, I used Rustic wilderness, Peeled Paint and Mustard Seed distress oxide inks.
This time, instead of creating a floral background with the stencils, I used the matching dies to cut out the flowers and leaves. Then, I adhered them in a “lotus” shape, to create the focal point for my card:
To finish my card, I stamped the lovely birthday greeting from the Natural Silhouettes stamp set by Gina K. Designs. Finally, I added the white panel to a lime green card base:
Here’s another photo from a different angle:
And I guess that’s all for today! Thank you so much for stopping by, and I hope you’ll join the challenge!
