Hello! Today I’m sharing a one-layer card that I made for the current sketch challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches. I’m calling this a “wonderful world” card 😄🌎

Here’s this week’s sketch:

The layout inspired my to choose a big “standing” stamp, so it was a great opportunity to try the Gina K. Designs Wonderful World stamp set on my card. This stamp set creates a BIG globe, and it also includes some beautiful sentiment stamps. (I used one of them in the past in this post)

Here’s my card:

I started by stamping the globe and the sentiment, and then added some color with my distress markers and some water. I’m not a great colorer (to say the least), but I like how it turned out. The “blotchy” areas add a textured look to the continents and the oceans, which is pretty cool 🙂

I also really like how the sentiment “blends” into the globe:
