Hi there! I usually don’t make holiday cards, because we celebrate Hannukah and not Christmas ❤️ But, the current challenge at Color Hues is “Silver and Gold” and that inspired me to create a holiday card… 🙂
Here’s the cute challenge graphic:
And here’s my card!
For the background, I used the stunning (stunning!!) Triangle Burst 3D embossing folder from Simon Says Stamp, over Tim Holtz Idea-ology silver kraft-stock. The effect of the embossing on the metallic paper is amazing! 🤩🤩
I didn’t want to steal the attention from the background, so I added only two elements to it. For both of them, I used stamps from the pretty Abstract Holiday stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. I heat embossed both of them in white – the star on gold kraft-stock, and the sentiment on black:
This card is so different from my usual style, but I love it! The overall effect is so bright and shiny, my kids can’t stop touching the texture and tilt the card in the light 🥰 I have to admit, I want to play with it all the time too! LOL 😄
Besides the Color Hues challenge, I’m also submitting my card to The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge – Anything Goes.
Well, that’s all for today, thank you for stopping by! What did you think of my silver and gold holiday card? Let me know in the comments below!
