Hello everyone! Happy new year! I hope you had a wonderful holiday vacation 🙂 I’m back today with a fun medallion birthday card!

As promised, today I’m officially joining the design team at CAS Colours & Sketches!!

I am so excited to join the team, and really grateful for this opportunity 😍

Our first host of 2022 is Joanne, and our first challenge of the year is a color challenge:

And here’s my card!

I wanted to use the new Triangle Burst Medallion die from the DieCember release at Simon Says Stamp. I loved the triangle burst embossing folder, and the medallion is a perfect match to it 😍

To cut three medallions in the challenge colors, I first applied matching inks directly to a white cardstock. The colors that I used are Gina K. Designs Red Hot, Altenew Pink Pearl and Altenew Lavender Fields.

Then, I cut three medallions and glued them together to create the full “circle”. I really like the dimensional effect from all the layers:

To finish my card, I simply added a “Happy Birthday” sentiment strip from the Send Happiness sentiment strips set to the center of the medallion.
