Hi! I’ve been making a lot of Thank You cards lately, but that means there’s a lot to be thankful for, right? 🙂 So today, I’m sharing a dimensional Thank You card that I made for a very special person 🙂

Have you seen the current sketch challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches yet?
That sketch immediately got my creative wheels turning! 🤩🤩
After making my first card for the challenge, I decided to create another card that matches it, but this time go for a more textured look. Here’s my card:
I wanted to have a white background, but with some dimension and texture. So I used the amazing (!!) Crystal Distortion embossing folder from Simon Says Stamp. I really like playing with 3D embossing folders, because they add such an amazing texture to the paper. 😍 This time, I decided to use the “back side” of the paper instead of the raised side. The raised side was also gorgeous, so I think I’ll try to create a similar card very soon, but with the raised side instead 🙂
After the embossing, I trimmed the panel and added it to my A2 card base.
Then, I added the sentiment. I used two dies from the Celebration Words Script Thinlits by Tim Holtz and Sizzix. For more interest, I added a layer of Nightfall Distress Glitter:
It’s hard to see in the photos, but the glitter adds an amazing shine in real life 🤩
This card was fun to make, I love the contrast between the sharp edges of the dimensional embossing and the swirly look of the Thank You sentiment!
And that’s all for today! Thank you for stopping by. For updates about new posts, please follow me on Instagram and Pinterest.
Have a wonderful day! ❤️
