Hello! I’m back today with a fun butterfly card that I made with holographic cardstock, to create a faux stained glass look! ๐คฉ

About three weeks ago I used the amazing holographic cardstock from Erin Lee Creative, to make an airplane card. I enjoyed making it so much, I couldn’t wait to use that cardstock again!
I wanted to make a holographic butterfly. As you probably know by now, butterflies are my favorite imagery when I craft… ๐ฅฐ๐ฆ And I thought the Beautiful Butterfly Pop-Up Dies from Concord & 9th would be great for the big butterfly that I wanted.
Here’s my card:
The rainbow holographic look of the butterfly really blows my mind! I think it looks like faux stained glass, doesn’t it?! ๐คฉ
Because the dies cut a BIG butterfly that was too large for my card, I trimmed the middle part of the butterfly, so the wings stand closer to each other.
I added the body of the butterfly at the center, and a tiny sentiment strip from Simon Says Stamp on top:
I am completely in love with that butterfly ๐๐ Here’s another angle, just so you can see the different colors of the paper:
Soooo good ๐
