Hi! It’s Tuesday again, so it’s time for a new challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches! We have a fun color combination this week, and I created a fun card that has the look of an artsy flower painting 🙂

Look at the fun colors that Jeanne chose for us this week:
At first I thought about making a beach scene, but it was raining and cold outside so I wanted to do something different…
For the gorgeous painted background, I used the large rectangle stamp from the Painted Shapes stamp set from Concord & 9th. I used two ink colors to stamp the rectangle – Sweet Corn and Powder Blue from Gina K. Designs, and I overlapped the colors on purpose, to get a “painted” look. 🙂 The pattern of the ink cubes has a brayer look to it, doesn’t it? Very cool.
Then, I stamped the pretty flowers from the Gina K. Designs Natural Silhouettes stamp set. I used MFT Blue Beyond dye ink, I love how bold this color is:
In order to keep the painted look, I decided not to add a sentiment. I really love the artsy “painting” look of this card, and the way the flower stamp fills the painted area nicely.
Let’s take a look on the card again:
Thank you so much for stopping by today, and I hope you’ll join us for the challenge! 🙂
