Hi! It’s time for a new color challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches, and I created a delicate stained glass orchid card! ๐

It’s the first challenge of the month, and our new host is Bhavya! ๐ Check out the cute color combination that she chose for us this week:
I wanted to use the beautiful die from Photoplay Paper that came with the SCT Magazine Crop & Create Delivered Cardmaking event kit. It’s a beautiful stained glass die with an orchid on it, and I thought it would look nice on my card front:
There isn’t an exact match to Soft Succulent in my ink stash, so I went for the closest color that I do have – Iced Spruce. I used it to cut the delicate frame, and then filled in the orchid with pieces of Concord & 9th cardstock.
To finish my card, I stamped a simple sentiment under the frame and added the panel to a light gray card base:
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you’ll join our new challenge ๐
