Hi friends! Happy Tuesday! It’s time for a new challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches and this week we have a color challenge! 🤩 I created a fun cascading balloons card and I hope you’ll like it.

Check out the pretty color combination that Nancy chose for us this week!
I decided to combine the color challenge with the latest sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches:
Here’s my card!
First, I stamped the three balloons. I used the smaller balloon stamp from the Happy Balloons stamp set from Concord & 9th. (That stamp set is sadly no longer available, but it’s an old favorite of mine. I used it a few months ago, click here if you want to see that card.)
To match the sketch outline, I stamped the balloons in a cascading layout, and then stamped the “celebrate” overlay on the middle one. That was my initial idea for the card, but I wanted to add more interest to each balloon…
So on the top right balloon, I stamped “let’s”. That word is actually a part from a larger stamp, that’s part of the Pop-Up Par-Tay stamp set from Concord & 9th. I got that stamp set as part of the SCT Crop & Create Delivered Cardmaking event on March, and it’s just so cute!! 😍
On the bottom right balloon, I added a “you” die cut that also came with the event kit.
That created the sentiment “Let’s celebrate you” on the cascading balloons, and I just love the look of it on the card!
I really like that each balloon has a completely different look, thanks to the different “accents” on each one of them. 🙂 What did you think? Do you like this look too?
Thank you for stopping by today! For updates about new posts, please follow me on Instagram and Pinterest.
Happy Tuesday! ❤️

The balloons are just perfect for the sketch and customising your sentiment across the trio was a great way to add interest without compromising on the CAS look and feel – I love it Michal! I’m also in awe of the lovely solid colour of your balloons; I have a different set with a solid balloon, but they never seem to give such a smoothly inked finish!
Thank you so much Joanne! I find that it really depends on the inks when I stamp solid images – Gina K, MFT and Altenew are great for solid images. Other inks create splotchy images (at least for me…)
