Hello! I’m back today with lots of cards and fun fruit patterns. ๐๐๐๐ I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire, who shared an amazing idea on her blog a few weeks ago. ๐

On her post, Jennifer showed many different patterns and ideas for die-cut window cards. I loved that post so much, I think I watched the video at least three times! It was so inspiring and beautiful, that I knew immediately that I want to try this technique myself. I had so much fun, that I got a little carried away and created many cards at once. Some of them have die-cut windows, while the others are just one-layer cards. ๐
Here’s one of the one-layer cards that I made – isn’t it fun? ๐คฉ
For all of my cards, I used the LDRS Creative Just A Note stamp & die set, that I got on the Crop & Create Delivered March 2022 kit. I used inks from Gina K. Designs and Altenew to stamp the fruits (see below the exact colors that I used). The sentiments are from three different stamp sets (see below).
To create the patterns, I followed Jennifer’s tutorial – first, I die cut lots of fruits, and then I used the die cuts to make a “template” of the pattern that I wanted on my cards. Then, I used it to position the stamps in my MISTI stamping tool, to create the pattern on a new white panel. To shorten the process, I stamped multiple stamps at once, as you can see in this photo. (TIP: make sure the stamps are far from each other, so that you won’t accidentally ink them in the wrong colors…)
Like I said, I left some of the panels alone, but on some of them I created die-cut windows.
Die-Cut Windows Cards
Once the patterns were ready on the white panels, I used the matching dies to create the “windows”. Here are the cards that I made:
On this card, I die cut the lemon slice right above the sentiment:
Here you can really see how the lemon peeks through the window from the inside of the card:
And on this one, I die cut the orange on the top left edge:
On this card, I die cut two lemon slices – one from each row:
For extra dimension and interest, I added a few die-cut fruits on some of the stamped images.
I created some more similar cards to these, and then went to finish the one-layer cards.
One-Layer Cards
I created two very similar “full fruit pattern” cards. Here’s the light red version:
And here’s the green version:
My favorite is the one with the light red base, which one is yours? ๐
Next, I created a one-layer version to the citrus diagonal pattern cards:
And I also created a fun watermelon version!
I still have so many die cuts, I’m going to make many fruit cards soon! ๐
Thank you so much for stopping by today! For updates about new posts, please follow me onย Instagramย andย Pinterest.
