Hi friends! It’s time for a new sketch challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches and I created a birthday card with a blended background in rainbow colors ๐

Here’s our sketch for this week:
I used the sketch pretty “liberally”, and was inspired mostly by the big rectangular shape and the part that “sticks out”. Here’s my card:
To create my card, I started by doing some distress oxide ink blending, in rainbow colors (see below the colors that I used).
Then, I used the AMAZING sentiment die from the Perfect Parings Birthday set from Concord & 9th. It contains two large dies that can cover an entire card front together. I used only one of them, but soon there will be another card that shows them together, so stay tuned! ๐
After I added the blended rainbow birthday die-cut to my card front, it was time to add some embellishments. Usually, I add a few clear drops here and there, but this time I used many many gemstones… This card is probably the shiniest card I’ve ever made! ๐
The column of gemstones on the left reminds me of those retro neon billboards, I just love that look ๐ What do you think?

Thank you so much Cecile! โค๏ธ
I love this Michal! The blended sentiment diecut is fabulous and the accent gems just the right amount of bling! I can’t wait to see the card that uses both dies too.
