Have you started making Christmas cards already? I know many crafters start as early as July, but I’m usually too lazy for that… 😅 This year, however, I started early and have already made some Christmas cards, that I shared on my Instagram page.
Last night, I created this super fun card:
To create the peppermint lollipops, I used the Color Blocks Balloons die set from Spellbinders. The round shape of the balloons reminded me of lollipops, so I decided to use only red and white cardstock, and create my own peppermint lollipops! 🍭🍭🍭
After die cutting and assembling the lollipops, I added them to a piece of pearly-black cardstock. It’s hard to capture in a photo, but it has a nice shine, and I thought it would match the festive feeling that I wanted:
I added the panel to an A2 card base, and then finished my card by adding a simple sentiment in red, to match the red on the lollipops. I used a stamp from the Abstract Holiday stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.
I’m so happy with how this card turned out 😍 I love peppermint (in any form of candy, not just lollipops 😂), so this card is the perfect Christmas card for me!
