Hi there! Today I’m sharing my card for the new Monday challenge at Simon Says Stamp. I used unusual colors (for me), that give a dreamy feeling to the card, and added some balloons in matching colors to enhance that feeling 🙂

The new challenge at SSS Monday challenge is “Sparkle and Shine”, as a tribute to Queen Elizabeth II. I think that’s a beautiful tribute to such a special person ❤️
Here’s the card that I made:
This card has a “sparkle” from the little gems, and also “shine” from the Glossy Accents on the balloons! 🙂
To make the background, I used the Clouds for Days stencil from Simon Says Stamp, with Mustard Seed, Abandoned Coral and Wilted Violet distress oxide inks.
Then, I created the floating balloons. First, I stamped the baskets. Then, I took the same colors of distress oxide inks that I used on the background, and blended them on scraps of white cardstock, to create a custom color cardstock. On these colored pieces I stamped the cute patterns, using the Happy Balloons stamp set from Concord & 9th. Finally, I used the matching die set to cut the balloons, and added them above each basket:
For the sentiment I used a cute stamp from Lawn Fawn.
After that, it was time to add the finishing touches – Glossy Accents on the balloons, and a few gems around them.
I really like this card, the clouds and the balloons give it such a relaxed, dreamy feeling 🥰
