Hi friends! I’m back today with a special Shana Tova (Happy New Year in Hebrew) card, for the Jewish New Year 🙂 I created it in yellow and brown colors, to match the current challenge at Color Hues! 💛🤎

The Jewish New Year begins tonight, and I needed to make some more Shana Tova cards. One of the most popular themes for Shana Tova is the “apple and honey” theme, because it’s a tradition to dip an apple slice in honey, for a sweet new year 🙂

So, when I saw that “Yellow and Brown” is the current color combination at Color Hues…

I immediately had an idea for a Shana Tova card in yellow and brown!

For my card, I used the adorable Hey Honey stamp set from Pink and Main, that was part of the SCT Magazine cardmaking event on March 2022. I used it two months ago to create this fun card:

This time, I stamped the bees in brown (Vintage Photo Distress Archival ink), and colored the bees with Fossilized Amber distress marker. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

Then, I blended some Mustard Seed distress oxide ink on a white panel, using the little honeycomb stencil from the kit. I added a die cut Shana Tova banner in kraft, and then added the bees:

I added the panel to a kraft card base, and added a bit of shine to the wings using my clear Wink of Stella shimmer pen. It’s hard to see in the photo, but the shine really is pretty 😍
