Hi friends! I’m back today with another Shana Tova (Happy New Year in Hebrew) card, for the new challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches. This time, my card has a round honeycomb on it! 🍯🐝

This week we have a fun sketch at CAS Colours & Sketches:

And I created this cute Shana Tova card:

This is actually a “leftover” card 😂 I had some bees left from the card I posted two days ago, and I still had the same stencil lying on my desk. If you haven’t seen that card yet, here it is: (click on the photo to see that post!)

This time, to match the sketch, I used the honeycomb stencil over a stencil with a circle opening. That stencil is part of the Circle Extraordinaire stencil set from My Favorite Things, and it’s perfect for masking. The “double stenciling” is how I created the round honeycomb on my card front.

After the round honeycomb was ready, I stamped the sentiment (“Shana Tova” in Hebrew) with Hero Arts Pumpkin Pie ink. Then, I added the bees around it, in similar positions to those of the stars on the sketch.

Again, I added a touch of Wink of Stella shimmer pen on the wings, and added the panel to a kraft card base:
