While I was looking for ideas for the Cardstock Only challenge, I came across an insanely beautiful card by Laura Bassen. I LOVE Laura’s cards, they’re always so colorful, delicate and perfect 😍 Her amazing card inspired me to create this card:
To create the circles, I used the Color Block Balloons Dies from Spellbinders. I’m having tons of fun with these dies, and this is actually the second time I’m not using them to create balloons… 😅 Not so long ago, I used them to create peppermint lollipops! 🍭
I used the die with wavy slices over six different cardstocks, and then mixed and matched them to create colorful circles. When I positioned them on my card base, I rotated each one, to add more interest and movement. As Laura did on her card, I used foam tape squares to add some dimension.
Because of the vibrant colors, I added a simple sentiment from the Reverse Birthday Sentiment Strips. I like the contrast between the black and white sentiment and the colorful circles 🙂
This card was super fun to make, I love how vibrant and colorful the circles are! 🤩
