Hello! It’s time for another sketch challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches, and I created a fun card with a diagonal chevron pattern! 😎

Here’s our sketch for this week:

At first, I thought I’d make a similar card to this one (click on the photo to see the original post):

But instead, I came up with something a bit different 😅

As you can see, without meaning to, I used the same sentiment stamp! That’s really one of my favorite stamps, from the Gina K. Designs Natural Silhouettes stamp set 😍

To make my card, I started by cutting the chevron strips. For that, I used the chevron die from the Occasional Tags die set from Brutus Monroe. Because the die is shorter than the length that I needed, I used partial die cutting. That way, I could extend the pattern and cut a longer strip 🙂

I chose an orange and green color scheme, to match the current challenge at Color Hues:

After die cutting the strips, I adhered them diagonally on my card front, to create the fun diagonal chevron pattern. To finish my card, I simply stamped the sentiment, and then added the panel to a white card base.
