I love crafty challenges, because they always give me inspiration and help me get out of my crafty comfort zone 🙂 But sometimes I struggle with them – especially when there’s a color combination that’s really not my go-to combination…
A friends challenged me last week to create a card with pink, gold and white (with an optional black). Since I almost always have white on my cards (and usually plenty of white), it was really a “pink and gold” challenge, and I struggled a lot until I came up with this birthday card:

For the beautiful floral image and the sentiment, I used stamps from the Spring Floral Background stamp set from Gina K. Designs. First, I heat embossed the floral background in gold on a pink cardstock, and then I stamped the sentiment in the center.

I trimmed the pink panel a little, and added it to a white A2 card base, and just like that, once again, I got a card that I really like from an unlikely color challenge 😍
