Hi friends! 🙂 I’m have a new holiday card today with a huge shiny ornament for the new challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches!

Are you ready for a new sketch challenge? Great! So here’s the fun sketch that Joanne chose for us for our new challenge: 🤩

And here’s my inspiration card:

As you can see, I rotated the sketch 90 degrees clockwise. I do that often when I play with sketch challenges, because it adds a lot of versatility to the sketches. You’re free to do that too, so don’t hesitate! 🙂

For the colors, I used the current color combination at the Color Hues challenge:

To make the colorful ornament, I started by blending distress oxide inks (Salty Ocean and Twisted Citron) on a piece of white cardstock. Then, I used the largest die from the Color Blocks Balloons die set from Spellbinders. That set is one of my favorites!! 😍 (If you want to see other cards that I made with it, click here.)

After the colorful circle was ready, it was time to “hang it” on my card front and make it an ornament. 🙂 For that, I used one of the Gina K. Designs Holiday Toppers dies. These dies are brilliant, and you can use them with any circle/oval die you already have to create beautiful ornaments! 😍

I then stamped the sentiment, and added thin “wires” above and below it, in order to create a continuous line from the top and match the sketch:

Finally, to finish my card, I added a thick layer of Glossy Accents on the ornament, to make it super shiny and perfect for a holiday card:
