Hello there! It’s time for a new challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches and this time we have a slimline card sketch! I created a cute mini slimline card with a cat, hope you’ll like it! 🐈⬛

Most of our sketches at CC&S are for A2 cards, but today we have a slimline layout!
I decided to create a mini slimline card, because the slimline size is too big for me. Feel free to do the same! 🙂
The colors were inspired by the first April challenge at Color Hues – Peach and Kraft. Last week I shared my first card for the challenge, click here if you want to see it. 🙂 The challenge is already over, but I decided to create another card with this cute color combination.
First, I stamped the square from the Painted Shapes stamp set from Concord & 9th. I used Gina K. Designs Peach Bellini and My Favorite Things Kraft ink cubes to create the “blend” of colors on the square. Then, I cut out the cat in the center of the square (using one of the gorgeous Mischievous dies). I adhered a black cardstock piece behind, to create the “silhouette”:
Finally, I stamped the sentiment, using two stamps from the All the Birthdays stamp set from Concord & 9th. I chose a long sentiment on purpose, to fill in the rest of the mini slimline card and balance the side with the cat 🙂

Happy Tuesday! ❤️

What a smart idea! That’s a terrific way to create a silhouette! Your cat is super cute – full of whimsy 🙂 Thx for the inspiration :0
Thanks Lesley! 🙂
Adorable. What’s the final size of this card?
Thank you!:) The final size is 3.5″ by 6″ (the standard mini slimline size)
This is so fun Michal! I’m not usually a cat person, but I love the comical poses in this set and I’m always a fan of a negative diecut. The two-tone square is the perfect foreground too. Gorgeous!
Thanks so much Joanne! 🙂
