Hello everyone! I can’t believe it’s already time for the first challenge of September in CAS Colours & sketches!! I created a fun birthday card with some big stenciled balloons for the DT inspiration, and I hope you’ll like it! 🙂

Check out the pretty color combination that Valerie chose for us this week!
So pretty!! 😍😍😍
Here’s my card:
I started by stenciling the big balloons on my card front, using the Big Balloons Stencil from My Favorite Things and distress oxide inks. The colors that I used are Wild Honey, Worn Lipstick and Wilted Violet.
Then, I stamped the sentiments using stamps from All The Birthdays stamp set from Concord & 9th. It has so many great birthday sentiment stamps, and I use it often. 🤩 (Click here to see more cards with stamps from that set!)
After fussing with clear drops, crystals and other tiny embellishments (many of those ended on my craft room floor 😂), I decided to leave the panel as is, and only added it to an A2 white card base. I guess the different “layers” of the balloons and the sentiments create enough texture. What do you think? 🙂
Thank you so much for stopping by today, and I hope to see you in the challenge gallery!

What an awesome and super fun one-layer design!
Thank you! ❤️
So bold and bright! I love it!
Thanks Arlene! 😊
Sometimes less is indeed more Michal – and the layering of the stencilled balloons and that big, bold sentiment works perfectly – no embellishments required!
Thank you Joanne! 🙂
