Hello everyone! I can’t believe it’s already time for the first challenge of September in CAS Colours & sketches!! I created a fun birthday card with some big stenciled balloons for the DT inspiration, and I hope you’ll like it! ๐

Check out the pretty color combination that Valerie chose for us this week!
So pretty!! ๐๐๐
Here’s my card:

I started by stenciling the big balloons on my card front, using the Big Balloons Stencil from My Favorite Things and distress oxide inks. The colors that I used are Wild Honey, Worn Lipstick and Wilted Violet.
Then, I stamped the sentiments using stamps from All The Birthdays stamp set from Concord & 9th. It has so many great birthday sentiment stamps, and I use it often. ๐คฉ (Click here to see more cards with stamps from that set!)

After fussing with clear drops, crystals and other tiny embellishments (many of those ended on my craft room floor ๐), I decided to leave the panel as is, and only added it to an A2 white card base. I guess the different “layers” of the balloons and the sentiments create enough texture. What do you think? ๐
Thank you so much for stopping by today, and I hope to see you in the challenge gallery!

So bold and bright! I love it!
Thanks Arlene! ๐
Sometimes less is indeed more Michal – and the layering of the stencilled balloons and that big, bold sentiment works perfectly – no embellishments required!
Thank you Joanne! ๐
